Westminster

A group of terraced properties listed at grade II and II* are proposed for redevelopment for one of the London great estates. Forming part of a wider scheme to regenerate a prime but currently underwhelming area, the existing ground and basement retail units are to be reconfigured to provide micro-units to the lane behind, and the existing office space above converted back to residential use.

Working alongside Stiff+Trevillion Architects, Sarah was appointed at RIBA stage 3 and 4 to work as an integral part of the team to prepare a scheme of repair for the building envelopes and conservation reinstatement internally.  This included repairs and replacement shopfronts, masonry cleaning and repair, repairs and new works to windows and doors, and roof repairs and reroofing, including thermal upgrade where possible, and the reinstatement of cornicing, skirtings, architraves and other internal woodwork.

Sarah has provided ongoing conservation advice as the project progresses, inputting to listed building consent applications and liaising with the wider consultant team.
